Our faith is deeply rooted in the promises of God, and Jesus is the fulfillment of those promises. If you are a follower of Jesus, you have been adopted into his family and are given all the fulfilled promises of God.

Galatians 3:1-6
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?

Genesis 12:1-3
“And the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your land and your birthplace and your father’s house to the land I will show you. And I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and those who curse you I will curse, and all the clans of the earth through you shall be blessed.”
–
Genesis 15:3-6
“And Abram said, ‘Look, to me you have given no seed, and here a member of my household is to be my heir.’ And now the word of the LORD came to him, saying, ‘This one will not be your heir, but he who issues from your loins will be your heir.’ And He took him outside and He said, ‘Look up to the heavens and count the stars, if you can count them.’ And He said, ‘So shall be your seed.’ And he [Abram] trusted the LORD, and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.”

Faith began the covenant between God and Abraham, which means that faith is the foundational thing – believing God at His Word.
–
Galatians 3:9
So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
–
Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
–
Galatians 3:10
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”
–
Galatians 3:13,14
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
–
Galatians 3:24-26
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
–
Galatians 4:4-8
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
–
Galatians 4:21
Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law? For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman.

1. Live from grace not for grace.
–
2. Don’t make light of the gospel.
–
3. Choose Jesus over everything.
