November 3-10, 2024

We are so excited to be hosting another Serve the City Week in November. In a season where there is a lot of anxiety and fear over many different things, we want to be people who bring love, joy, and peace in the name of Jesus to the people of our city. There are two ways you can participate:

Give of Your Time

Below, you will find all of the opportunities that you can get hands-on and serve with one of our City Partners.

Give of Your Resources

We know that time is a precious resource and one that you may not be able to give during this week. Each of our City Partners have on-going needs and we want to be able to continue to support them financially. If you feel led to support them financially, you can do that through our website and we will make sure that your gift is used to help people in our city.

If you have questions, email us at city@sevenmarkschurch.com.

Our City Partners

Foster Care

Isaiah 117 House Donation Organization
Sunday, November 3 from 2-4p

The Isaiah 117 House recently acquired a storage unit for storing items for events and donations for children entering into foster care. We would love to have some volunteers come in and help put the shelving together, sort through items in the storage unit, and label/organize everything.

Foster Community Respite Night
Friday, November 8 from 5:30-9p

We are hosting a Respite Night for Foster Families in our community. This gives foster parents a night out to recharge while their kids have fun and watch a movie with us! We need volunteers to work the welcome table, spend time with the kids, serve food, and more!

Foster Closet Open House
Saturday, November 9 from 8:30-11:30a

With items coming in and leaving out from the Foster Closet, there is constant sorting and organizing to be done. Come hang out with other volunteers and have the opportunity to meet families in our city that are currently fostering.

Foster Closet Pajama Collection

When a foster child receives a new placement or is in respite care, a new pair of pajamas help them to rest comfortably. Our Foster Closet serves lots of foster families in our community and we want to be able to provide them with pajamas. On Sunday, November 3 during our Sunday morning gatherings or on Saturday, November 9 during our Foster Closet Open House, you can drop off pajamas. All kid sizes are needed – newborn all the way to big kids. New Items ONLY please!

We will be purchasing the supplies for Love Boxes and are looking for volunteers to pack them.

Recovery

Men’s Recovery Group Meal Prep

Our Monday Night Men’s Recovery Group helps men in our city who are in recovery. They gather around a meal when they meet, as they share struggles and encourage one another. They feed around 25 men every Monday night. We are looking for volunteers that would like to purchase items, prepare a meal, and deliver it back to Seven Marks on a Monday night. If you would like to help, please sign up and our team will reach out to you with details.

Are you ready to engage, but still have questions?

We know that it can be overwhelming to figure out how to take your first step in serving in our city. If that’s you, please reach out and we would love to help you find the right place to jump in.
