Preferred gifts are around soft skills, hospitality, warmth, kindness, curiosity about other people, and willingness to share personally about your walk with Jesus. Leaders are encouraged to be first with humility and last with answers, to create a culture of rich discussion. Because of this, experience with discussion leading is an important skill set to have/develop. While a gift of teaching can be helpful, it often is not necessary for the health and formation of thriving community groups.
